Tips for Students who wants to Study Abroad
1. Do make a lot of copies of your important records. Make three photocopies of your passport, visa and other important documents, such as Travelers Checks. If originals are lost or stolen, you will not have enough problems searching for replacement.
2. Purchase an international student health insurance beforehand. Don’t be unprepared from unwanted sickness and the cost it will give you.
3. Purchase an international roaming cell phone or prepaid cards from the airport once you arrived to your destination to make calling home simple and less expensive. Don’t forget to bring with you your updated address book.
4. Prepare your finances. Apply for an international ATM, because you don’t know when you’ll be needing money for incidentals.
5. Get prescriptions from licensed medical practitioner, to cover your needs while you are away. Also, verify that the prescriptions you are taking with you are not considered controlled substances in the country you are planning to go to.
6. Pack all guide booklets/brochures and pre departure materials in carry-on luggage, including a map of the area you are traveling to. This guarantees that even if luggage is lost or stolen, you’ll have everything you need as soon as your plane touches down.
7. Lastly, save room in your luggage because you don’t want to forget buying souvenirs when you return home.
