Trip Cancellation
There are three major types of trip-cancellation insurance — one, a pre-paid cruise or tour that gets cancelled, and you can’t get your money back; two, sickness or death of a family member, and you can’t travel (be sure that the cause is not a pre-existing condition); and third, when bad weather makes travel impossible. Some insurance providers give coverage for events like jury duty; natural disasters near to home, like floods or fire; or even the loss of a job, at times even cancellations due to terrorist activity. Check the fine print before signing on, and buy it from a reputable travel insurance agency.
